The Three Musketeers

The three musketeers is a novel written by Alexander Dumas. Its story revolves around a man named d’Artagnan. He is a poor man who leaves his home and travels to Paris to become a musketeer. When he reaches there, he is challenged by the three musketeers to duel with each one of them. And if he succeeds, he would become a part of the musketeers.

The three musketeers were Athos, Porthos and Aramis. However, duels were forbidden by the government. All four of them were about to be arrested by the royal guard when d’Artgnan defeated them with the help of the three musketeers. Thus, the four of them became friends and d’Artagnan became a musketeer in the royal guard.

The three musketeers wore classical musketeer uniforms. It consisted of tight pair of pants and a long jacket. The jacket had several embroidered and metal patterns. They wore musketeer hats on their heads and carried muskets. A musket is a type of gun that is loaded with gun powder and is carried on the shoulder.

The three musketeers had a very charming and inspiring personality. Their costumes are very appealing for young kids and adults to be worn on Halloween or any fancy dress party.
